Development of a document management system’s custom Search page using Microsoft FAST Search Server.

This solution, while used in a SharePoint 2010 enterprise environment, can run as a single, stand-alone search engine front-end interface. Developed in C# using Visual Studio 2010, the solution uses FAST’s QueryEx Web service method to accept a Query Token the ASP.NET search page constructs and submits to return ADO.NET DataSet tables. The solution uses FAST’s refinement values returned in ADO DataSets to dynamically filter and re-bind more relevant results to an ASP DataList control.
