The effort comprised numerous multi-step change control management and document publishing workflows used by more than 100 employees for over 1,000+ documents across six SharePoint libraries and lists between disparate secure environments as well as publishing to a public extranet. It uses VB.NET, C#, InfoPath forms, and Microsoft Windows Workflow Foundation to enhance efficiencies and performance and accommodate an increasing information volume. Custom C# .NET search capabilities use dynamically generated, results-driven search refiners and refinements. Query refinement parameters are passed to Microsoft FAST Search Server 2010, allowing highly granular, more relevant search results using custom metadata via indexed, managed properties.
